Chaotic dogfight, World War One.
This poto - among other stunning aerial combat photographs - was published by Mrs. Gladys Cockburne-Lange (the widow of a british flier) in 1932. Ever since, historians, photographic experts and former World War I pilots have argued over whether the photographs were faked. In 1979 experts in the Time-Life Photo lab studied prints from the collection and concluded they are not genuine.
