Stylophone, 1960s.The Stylophone is an electronic musical instrument invented in 1967 by Brian Jarvis and manufactured by Dubreq. It was played by touching a metal keyboard with a stylus. Around 3 million of the instuments were sold, mainly as children’s toys, but various prominent pop musicians have made use of them, notably David Bowie on his track “Space Oddity”, originally released in 1969.
